This area is great for boondocking RV’s and tents. As you drive along the dirt road you will see sites with fire rings already made and some port-a-potties spread out throughout the road.
The farther back you go on the road, the more quiet it will be from Hwy 191. Like with some other camp sites in this area, you will at some point have some wind, dust, and some hard ground to get those spikes in. When we camped we had a little wind, but by positioning our truck right helped to decrease any flow through our camp.
At Willow Springs Trail you will find a collection of people who are in the area to camp, bike ride, or use their 4-wheelers/dirt bikes. We have camped at many sites like this and for us, we didn’t hear anyone really moving around until later in the morning. It was amazing!
If your going to use a tent, then make sure to grab rocks to anchor your tent down and some fire wood logs that don’t release any embers. Also, it is dispersed camping so take in what you take out. Please don’t leave your trash for others to clean up.
